Luis Torrego

INVESTMENT BANKER

Luis Torrego is responsible for origination, structuring and execution of advisory assignments on the “Triangular Influential Area” between United States, Europe and Latin America. Mr. Torrego has over eight-year experience in international Mergers & Acquisitions, Merchant Banking and Private Equity transactions in Latin America and Europe. During this time, Mr. Torrego has advised clients on a variety of industries including food and beverage, outdoor advertising and financial institutions among others.

Prior to joining Triangle Partners, Mr. Torrego served as a Managing Director in the Latin America M&A Group of Standard Bank. As part of his duties, he originated and executed a number of M&A assignments in Central America and the Caribbean. Previously, Mr. Torrego worked for Royal Bank of Canada in the Corporate Finance Americas Group where he co-leaded RBC’s investment banking unit for the bank’s high-net-worth clients in Latin-America. In addition, Mr. Torrego participated in RBC’s restructuring of its branch-network in Latin America. Prior to that, Mr. Torrego worked in the Latin America M&A and Merchant Banking Group of Banc of America Securities where he was involved in numerous merchant banking investments, privatizations and M&A transactions.

Mr. Torrego is an active member of the Central American – US Chamber of Commerce and the Miami Bond Club. Mr. Torrego holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Saint Louis University. Mr. Torrego is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
